If you defeat all enemies on the screen, and new enemies appear in their place, that means a new enemy wave is attacking. HINT -- Be sure to keep an eye on your characters' health and refresh bars. These bars appear near the character portraits on the right hand side of the screen. HINT -- There are some differences between Combo and Basic attacks. Combo attacks allow you to cause heavy damage to an enemy, but have longer refresh times between attacks. Basic exchanges do not convey heavy damage, but have quicker refresh rates. Knowing when to use a Basic attack or a Combo attack is a powerful strategy in fighting successfully. HINT -- When you find a new Combo, make sure you access the Combat Profile Screen and find out the new Combo key configuration. Try the new Combos out as soon as you can. HINT -- Be sure to have the characters with the weaker combat morphs pick up the more powerful Bonus Animal morphs. The combat sequences early in the game may be easy, but you may find the combats become more difficult in the later chapters. Finding more powerful combat animal morphs will help with difficult combat. The same strategy can be used for picking up new combat combos! HINT -- Use your journal to find clues and other important information. The journal may help you figure out difficult puzzles or record codes that you need to use. HINT -- Gather as many Energy Bars as you can! Try to save the Energy Bars for the later combat sequences, as you may need them to energize your characters! HINT -- Use the Power Burst wisely in the action sections of the game. Wait to use them during long straight sections or to rush through stretches that have a large number of falling objects. Try not to run out of bursting energy. You may find yourself in a situation where you can't burst when you need it. HINT -- If you are stuck, use the HINT key. It may provide you a clue about what you should do next. HINT -- Use items in your inventory. They may provide access numbers, clues, or other information you will need in the game.
