Command & Conquer: Red Alert - The Aftermath cheats / Command & Conquer: Red Alert - The Aftermath hints / Command & Conquer: Red Alert - The Aftermath faqs / Command & Conquer: Red Alert - The Aftermath solutions Command & Conquer: Red Alert - The Aftermath hints Mission Spoilers By Jarrod Hampton Allied Missions Harbour Reclamation Things get hot very quickly so kill the spy before he can report to the soviets. Build a barracks and start producing some riflemen. Then build some pillboxes and scatter them through the outskirts of your base. Now after building up your base you need to destroy the soviets ore trucks. Because if they get money they turn it into lots of tanks and bombs and they could ruin your whole day. So build a group of medium tanks and send them to the middle of the northern ore field, and when the ore trucks arrive blast them to kingdom come. Build some mechanics and get them to follow your tanks. Now move your tanks and attack the base from the left side of the ore. And be sure to keep the mechanics behind the tanks and you will be invincible. Now send in some engineers to capture the weapons factory and some other buildings that you can choose. Build some pillboxes and spread them around this base just like you did the first base. Some V2 launchers would come in handy to help take out the tesla coil emplacements that remains in the base to the east. Then just mop up at your leisure. In The Nick Of Time Mass your tanks in a single group and proceed along the path, destroy the soviet tanks with concentrated firepower and run over the enemy infantry. Get all your tanks to attack the tesla coil and they should hopefully destroy it before it kills one or two of your units. When reinforcements arrive they should make up for any losses. The demolition truck is too dangerous to be near your troops so get rid of it as soon as possible. Rescue the prisoners in the village to get a medic and a mechanic. If you can repair your chrono tanks before the attack choppers come and destroy them completely then you will have a strong anti-air presence for the rest of the mission. When you send your spy north, some reinforcements will drop out of the sky, unfortunately they are in range of a nearby tesla coil. But shooting the barrels around it can destroy the tesla coil. Capture the barracks and the power plant that are in the northeast corner of the map. Build an engineer and some more ground units. There is a minefield to your left but that can be destroyed by force firing on the ground. Rush the west base with your tank hordes. Your main target priorities should be the weapons factory, the barracks and the ore refineries. Get an engineer into the H Q to free the prisoners. Once the prisoners are free, get them back across the bridge and to the signal flare and the mission is complete. As long as you never stop your units running you will have a hassle free journey. Caught In The Act The object of this mission is to hop Tanya from one island to the other, freeing prisoners as you go along. Your first stop is the island to the north. After you have killed the soldiers, load Tanya and all but one of the prisoners into the water transport. Leave that soldier up by the crate. The crate will heal all your units back to full health, but you should save it for when your units are low on health. When Tanya hits the second island, your friends will send a transport chopper to make your island hopping easier. But when it arrives a pair of MIGs try to blow it up. So as soon as it touches down select it and move it or it will be blown up. There is a healing crate on the island so leave one of the prisoners here to collect it in case of an emergency. The enemy attack helicopters are big nuisances. The moment your reinforcements touch down, the enemy choppers arrive to rip them to bits. The solution is to load the rocket infantry into the transport helicopter, then shove Tanya in after them. Tanya kills the soldiers, and the rocket infantry kill the enemy attack choppers. Don't let any of your rocket infantry die, you need every one of them for later on in the level. No just to help your troops pick up one of the heal crates you left behind. What a wonderful recovery! Enemy subs hide in the waters, and your gunboats will take a beating unless you kill the subs with the "shoot while moving" manoeuvre. When you get to the north-east island, send your spy, Tanya and the rocket infantry to the radar dome, breach the wall with the rocket infantry and send Tanya and the Spy Through to the radar dome and infiltrate the dome with your spy to muck things up for the bad guys. The north-west island seems impenetrable, but it isn't. When your tanks arrive, run over the enemy soldiers, but don't go too far to the north or west. Or else the Tesla coils will fry them. Your destroyers should be able to reach the coils and destroy them from a distance. All you have to do to finish the mission is land the rest of your troops on the shore and destroy the tech centre. Production Disruption Separate the doctor from the soldiers. The doctor is the most valuable units needed in this mission and you don't want to let him get killed. You can still heal your injured soldiers in the middle of a firefight, but do it from a safe distance. Destroying the two power plants will give you a couple of demolition trucks and a handful of engineers. Destroy the flame turrets with the demolition trucks and take over the radar dome. After the radar dome is yours you will receive some chronotanks. Move these tanks to the north-east until you reach the northernmost tip of the island. The sub pen is over to your left, but you can't get to from here so chronoshift the tanks to the little island by the sub pen and blow it to bits. Negotiations Destroy the SAM sites to the east so that your helicopter reinforcements can destroy the flame turret blocking your way. Once the flame turret is gone kill the soldiers attacking the farmhouse. A civilian will come out of the house and lead you to the hostages. When the hostages are free they will follow Tanya's every move. Take Tanya to the church in the bottom right corner of the map. You may have one problem when a tank blocks your path across the river, but you can hide in the forest to evade it. There's also a crate there near the tree. Reinforcements arrive when you get Tanya back to the landing zone. Winning the mission is a matter of killing the remaining tanks and infantry. The mechanic can keep your tanks in repair your tanks if they are in need. Monster Tank Madness Capture the power plant and the sub pen. Steal money from the silo and build a water transport. Move everyone to the shore to the north. Repair the power plants and start gathering ore from the field to your south. Send a spy to the east. Avoid the bridge, and follow the land until you find the brick wall. Get him into the radar dome to turn the super tanks against their creators. What a great diversion! Now you can rescue the scientist. Send an empty APC to the village in the south. Load the scientist into the APC and hurry back to your base. Once back get him out of the APC and into the chopper. Time Flies The first half of the mission is pretty simple, destroy the radar domes as you hop from one island to the next. There are no real challenges. The chronotank's missiles are very effective against the flame turrets that are scattered about. If you see what looks like trouble, you can chronoshift out of troubles way. Bringing down the SAM coverage isn't the end of it. Your reinforcements won't come until Tanya destroys the power plants for the last Tesla coil. Once you get the MCV, deploy it at the base of the northern plateau. Cutting off the enemies ore supply is critically vital now. The heat comes quickly Because they have four ore trucks gathering ore from the southern field. To kill them and their escorts, invade the ore field with six or seven medium tanks to take out the trucks. Without the money from the ore, the Soviets can not produce any units. Though the Tesla Coils still pose a problem and must be destroyed. Send a spy into the north-eastern base and locate the coils. Take out the coils with helicopters, then send in a group of tanks to knock out the first missile silo. Send the same spy into the southern base. This time, to find the power plants. Chronoshift a few chronotanks into the southern base to destroy the power plants. Without power, the remaining Tesla coils are powerless to stop your main attack. Absolute M.A.D.ness At regular times throughout this mission invisible M.A.D tanks will wreck havoc on your units and buildings. The only way to stop them is to destroy the M.A.D Facility located on a remote island. To do this, sneak spies into the three Technology Centres. Start off by repairing the damaged buildings. To the south, past some forest, large patches of gems are ready to be gathered by your ore truck. Use the money to build power plants, pillboxes, and to repair your base. Once the gems are gone start gathering ore from the huge field of ore to the right of your base. Send your first spy south. Ignore all the defensive structures and head straight into the Tech Centre. With the dogs on the prowl, it will be impossible to infiltrate the remaining Tech Centres undetected. You can build an APC, and stick the spy inside. Send the first APC to the east. Don't bother shooting anything, but if you can run over some dogs. Just find the Tech Centre and get the spy inside. Do the same thing for the Tech Centre in the south-east. When the flares pop up on the island, chronoshift your chronotanks' on top of soldiers for an instant squish. Run over the remaining soldiers then destroy the facility and the construction yard. So much for the M.A.D tanks. The Iron Curtain is located in the south-east, right by the Technology Centre. Build a horde of medium tanks and destroy the remaining buildings. Pawn Since the Soviets have an unlimited supply of tanks and aircraft without having to refine the ore, this mission will take a while. That's not to say that you shouldn't go after the enemy ore trucks, just don't be surprised to see MiGs and Tesla tanks come out of nothing. Move some of the artillery to cover the spots that don't have any anti-infantry defence, and move some of the rocket infantry away from the very edge of the base. When you come under attack, try to kill the infantry using pillboxes and artillery, and to destroy the vehicles using turrets and tanks. The rocket infantry are there to shoot down aircraft. After the initial attack repair your damaged buildings. If you need to repair a vehicle, don't use the repair bay use a mechanic instead. It's cheaper. Mine the narrow pathways to the north, the west, and the east. There's a bridge in the eastern area that you should blow up. It will force the enemy units to come through the narrow eastern gap and you will be ready for them. You'll have to make several minelayer trips, but a thick minefield will do a lot of the hard work for you. There's a crate full of money under the oil field outside your east gate. It is best to wait until the enemy paratroopers arrive before blowing them up because you'll take a fair number out in the process. Now just sit tight until reinforcements arrive. Once you get the MCV, sell your fake structures and replace them with the real ones. Construct a refinery and an advanced power plant where the fake weapons factories used to be. Build camouflaged pillboxes inside and outside your base and stick a couple of AA guns out over your north wall. You can get a couple of destroyers just by exploring the area to the northeast. Move them to the west shoreline so they can support your tanks and protect you from aircraft. If you want another crate, look under the supply truck near the church in the northwest. This is also a good spot for an ore truck ambush, any five tanks should do the job nicely. As you move around the ore field, some tanks and a mechanic will arrive in the very upper-left corner of the map. Their purpose here is to ambush the second Soviet ore truck and destroy the airfields. It's not vital that you destroy them all but it takes some pressure off your back. The only way into the Soviet base is to send tanks at the Soviet defences. Send five or six medium tanks at a time against one of the Tesla coils, and when it has been destroyed retreat a little way. Repeat as necessary to any other defences. If you can your destroyers can help the attack a little. Have some mechanics and medics near to your tanks and infantry to repair and heal them as necessary. Keep attacking the Soviet turrets and towers, and you'll eventually destroy the whole base. Soviet Campaign Testing Ground Deploy your MCV by the shore. The Allies waste no time in attacking you, so get a barracks up and ready. A few riflemen should hold them back until you can get some flame turrets up. Try to get two ore trucks going, and gather ore from both the right and the left ore fields. Flame turrets are a good infantry defence and against the smaller vehicles, but they are no match for the chronotanks. So as soon as possible build some Tesla Coils on both side of your base. The chronotanks aren't the biggest of your problems. You also need to deal with the Allied navy. If you don't strike quickly, the cruisers will come and bombard your base. Send at about three submarines to the north end of the island. Destroy the shipyard and any boats they may have built. Go to the west side of the island and destroy any ships you find here. Once again, the enemy ore trucks must be destroyed to stop the allies building war units. The Allied ore trucks tend to use the ore deposits to the north-east and north-west. So set up ambushes around these areas. Build a missile submarine and use it to bombard everything within range of the coast. There are a number of coastal defences and Gap Generators in operation. If you surface too close to the shore, you'll get a beating. Hold back a bit and let a normal submarine be the spotter for your missile sub. Let the normal submarine get underneath the Gap cover while you shell the targets with your missile sub. Close in only when you're absolutely sure that you've destroyed all the coastal defences. After destroying all the units you can reach from the water, send in tanks to mop up and end the mission. Shock Therapy At the beginning of the mission, send your shock troopers to the west and south. Shock Troopers can't walk and fire at the same time, so it is best that you let the enemy walk into the Shock Troopers range rather than walking up to them. Move the Troopers east. There is a crate under a farmhouse. Follow the river and go over the crossing. You can destroy the pillboxes if you like but you may lose some men doing so. As you approach the base to the south, you'll receive some Tesla tank and missile sub reinforcements. Attack the buildings with your submarines from a distance. Get the subs out of there before the destroyers come. If you are too lazy you can destroy the village with the missile subs if you want. You will get a V2 launcher and a demolition truck. Send the V2 launcher south to the shore where the destroyers are hiding. Move the launcher towards the sea one square at a time until it Fires on the destroyers and blows them to bits. Bye bye destroyers. Move the rest of your forces to the north-west. If you've destroyed all civilian and military units and buildings, this will be your last battle. If the mission doesn't end, take a look at the map to see what you've missed. Lets Make A Steal Chitzkoi the Super Dog can leap from one person, and Volkov carries a silenced hand cannon. The goal of this mission is to make your way through the rooms in search of the secret weapon. You need to use a number of wall-mounted control panels to safely move through the corridors. Follow the southern corridor to the east. Stand on the computer panel to activate it. When you hear an explosion, you know that you've activated the panel. Continue on to the large room and turn north into the next room. Head east until you reach a square room. Go south until you spot another control panel on the left. Activate it, and go back up the way you came. From the square room, follow the eastern passageway. It leads south to another room with another control panel. Activate it and continue south. Getting inside the Tech Centre is only the first part of your mission. Go back to the square room and go south once again. Take the western corridor at the T-junction. It leads into a room full of immobile tanks. Follow the southern corridor. It will turn east, then north, then east, then lead you to a room with a huge reactor. Activate the control panel in the southern part of the reactor room. Go back the way you came, but this time turn south at the T-junction. After a little way, the corridor will hit an east-west passageway. Activate the control panel to the east. It's the one above the room with the empty boxes and healing power-up crate. Walk west past the power plant and weapons factory. Trip the control panel in the west wall before infiltrating the weapons factory. Now that you have the tank, you need to find the exit to this place. Go back towards the reactor room, but go on past it. Take the first hall to the east and follow it to the very end. Ignore the tanks shooting at you and just get out alive Test Drive. The Phase Tank has some admirable qualities. It's invisible, but infantry men and pillboxes will see it if you get close to them. And it has to de-cloak to fire its missiles. The missiles do a lot of damage to vehicles and buildings, but are useless against infantry. Though they have a big enough range to destroy pillboxes and turrets from a safe distance. Volkov can actually fit inside the tank. So when you come across infantry, you can take out Volkov and he will deal with the annoying infantry. When the infantry has been dealt with load him back into the tank and on with the mission. The first target is the technology centre in the north-west. Charge past the blockade, ignore the vehicles that fire on you. Unload Volkov in the middle of the base and use him to blow up the barracks and the tech centre. For some reinforcements, destroy the AA guns with the phase tank. The next target is the radar dome in the south-east. Enter the base from its west side, and run over any infantry that gets in your way. Blow up the barracks and radar dome with Volkov, and destroy the AA guns with the phase tank. Keep Volkov near to the phase tank and arrange the shock troops into a tight group. They're going to have to survive for themselves for a little while. The task now is to destroy the gunboats and destroyers using a pack of submarines. Form a line or pack just in front or behind the ships you want to sink and have all the subs simultaneously fire on that boat. Move on to the next ship and repeat. Once your reinforcements arrive, meet up with Volkov in the south-east base. Escort the phase tank to the river crossing to the north, and destroy the pillboxes and turrets. There's a nice little spot in the middle of the crossing where the phase tank can shoot at all four targets while not getting shot back at. To finish this mission, you must destroy all remaining Allies. Don't Drink The Water Leading with your grenadiers, keep to the road until it ends. Move the truck to the waterfall to start a chain of horrible deaths. Once in the enemy base, capture the Chronosphere. The Chronosphere needs power so capture and repair one of the damaged power plants. Capture the barracks as well, but leave the ore silos for later. You can capture them later. Use the Chronosphere to get the MCV across the water. Move it north, and deploy your construction yard just south of the creek. There's a large gem field in the north-west corner of the map, and you should refine that as soon as possible. Your northern base will come under constant attack from infantry and vehicles. You should build a Tesla coil at the east edge of your base and surround it with a concrete wall, and defending your base will become a lot easier. Building Tesla coils in your Chronosphere base also helps defend it. Good places are: by your power plants, and by the Chronosphere itself this also helps to destroy destroyers and cruisers. To be rid of the cruisers forever, build a sub pen to the north of your Chronosphere. Destroy both the Naval Yard and any ships in the harbour. Now build a war factory next to your Chronosphere and construct about ten to twelve heavy tanks. Put these tanks into transports and sail them up the river to the eastern edge. Come ashore just past the ruins of the bridge. This is the enemy's back entrance. Ignore any base defences and drive through to the middle of the enemy base. Destroy the power plants, the ore refineries, and helicopter pads. After you've destroyed the pillboxes and other infantry killing units, capture the tech centre. Then, to complete your mission, destroy any remaining enemy units. Situation Critical This is a fairly easy level. Blow up the two power plants near your missile subs to shut down the Tesla coils. Volkov and the scientist will arrive soon You've got to escort them to the bio-lab in the middle of the island. Using Volkov's C-4, destroy the two power plants you pass on your way to the northern entrance. Don't bother with any of the Tesla Coils. Once the scientist is inside the bio-lab, work your way around the base, destroying the SAM sites as you go around. When you destroy the last SAM site, Nukes will start to fall from the sky. You have to avoid the blasts and survive to finish the level though Brothers In Arms Getting your spy into the base is the easy part. The hard part is getting out again in one piece! After you listen in on the conversations in the courtyard and inside the HQ building, you'll have to leg it to stand a chance of surviving. As you belt past the barrels, the dumbest of the two brothers will shoot at you and miss, blowing the barrels sky high, and if your lucky, the dogs chasing you will get french fried. If your not lucky, you'll probably have to restart. Make your way back to the landing zone to get some reinforcements. Deploy the MCV somewhere in the north-west, but keep your buildings away from the shore. Construct a couple of SAM sites for protection. The allies will try to sneak Tanya in from the west. You can simply block this bit off with concrete wall to stop her. There's an ore field in the south with some gems, but to win the mission, you have to gain control of the northern ore field. Build some tanks and move them to the northern ore field and destroy all the enemy trucks that come your way. Once you rule the ore field, explore the eastern part of the map. There are money crates under the Tech Centre. Be sure to collect them. Destroy the enemy sub pen too. Place down a sub pen in the water. You'll need about four submarines to kill the destroyers that attack from the north. Your tanks may be able to assist from the shore. Send them round the south-west corner to the water by your original landing zone. Ambush the cruiser here. Sooner or later the two brothers get pissed off enough to come after you. One has a mortar, the other an elephant gun. They're pretty tough, but your tanks and V2 launchers should be able to take care of them. After they are dead all you need to do is kill everything left to finish the mission. Deus ex Machina The only anti-aircraft units you have are your mammoth tanks. They'll give you a little relief from the annoying helicopters. Manoeuvre your tanks to the north, and then head east. Using concentrated firepower destroy the tanks and artillery. Safely destroy the demolition truck by using a mammoth tank to blow it up at a distance. If all goes well, the blast'll only scratch you. Your first assault will be on the north-western island. Bombard its coastline with two or three missile subs. Nothing can withstand concentrated missile sub fire. Land five of your heavy tanks on the island's east shore. If a turret starts firing on you, destroy it with your missile subs. In total, there are seven turrets along the top of that cliff. Destroy the radar dome on the island. Send a spy plane to the very north-eastern part of the map. Try to find the weapons factory. When you do, you're likely to find a demolition truck close by. Send in the paratroopers to destroy the demolition truck. The explosion will take out the weapons factory, and therefore cut off the supply of tanks. Bombard the northern island and land another five tanks. Destroy the radar dome. Underneath the fake factories, you'll find money crates worth 12,000. Collect them immediately. All you need to do now is create a 15 or heavy tanks and storm the base in the north-east. Destroy the radar dome there, then swing south and around to the left. When you blow up the last radar dome, you'll be told that Volkov is in the fake weapons factory. Send in an engineer to have Volkov released. Volkov will destroy much of your armada, but you will eventually wear him down and kill him. Grunyev Revolution The civilian with a nuclear bomb strapped to his chest will come as a surprise. The civilians in this mission are armed with everything from rocket launchers to Molotov cocktails. Get your surviving mammoth tanks to the north-east for some reinforcements, and deploy your construction yard to the north of your location. Large deposits of gems surround the pond just past a clump of trees to the west. When the gems on the right side of the pool run out, swing around to the left side to get to the other half. Guard dogs and anti-personnel mines are your best weapons. The pass south of the pond is an ideal place for your AP minefield. You can place the dogs just about anywhere. As long as they are set on "guard", they'll protect you from civilians and paratroopers. Don't lay off the tank defence though you'll still get the occasional tank wandering into your base, but they shouldn't pose any threat. You need to sit tight until you've money to build a missile sub. Send the sub north and to the west. Take out as many power stations and turrets as you can, then sit tight until the villagers go on a massacre. Stalin's elite guard should show up after you kill the wave of civilians. This is both good and bad. Though the elite mammoth tank battalion starts out attacking the civilian encampments, though be careful because these guys are out for blood and soon they turn on you. When they get close enough to your base to pose a real threat, destroy them. The mission ends when the last elite guard unit is destroyed. Have Tesla Coils around your base as defenses, and Tesla Tanks to help defend when the power goes low. Many thanks to Adam Palmer for supplying these cheats!
