Cool World cheats / Cool World hints / Cool World faqs / Cool World solutions Cool World hints SSRat: Here's one of the first 'good' games we've seen from Ocean in quite some time. As the docs say, it is picky about the environment (memory available, tsr's loaded, etc) you play the game in (see Ocean's disclaimer below). You can install the game by unzipping it into a directory and using SUBST. LOADING THE GAME: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Syntax is: COOLWRLD [J] [M] [S] / or + turns an option on. - turns an option off. -J Turns OFF joystick detection. -M Turns OFF Adlib/SoundBlaster detection. +S Runs the game at top speed. HOW TO PLAY: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Define your keys in the main menu. Shoot the cool dudes running all around you and pick up the the coins that appear. Look at the map (press the map key you defined) : you are located at the large yellow arrow and want to move to the purple flashing door. When you have collected enough coins you can enter the door at the purple location. Now you must shoot the cool dudes once to enclose them in a black bubble and then you must hold down the fire button and a blue ray will form that sucks in the bubbles (sorta like ghostbusters...). You can also jump on the bubbles and burst them. Jump on the prizes that appear such as the Big Mac's or the 1 UP symbols. See the swirly firey thing's on the walls? Jump up (up key) when you are in front of one and then press the down key when you are falling down past it again (when you are located directly in front of the swirly). You will be warped into a new screen. Finish the level by picking up the items from shooting the cool dudes and popping the bubbles but at the same time use the blue ray (holding the fire key down) to suck in the bubbles and keep the danger level down.
