This is especially useful when you need to unload a spell; you can center your shot and adjust its height in a way that's not possible in third-person perspective. It's also helpful when you're sneaking around slowly in a place with lots of ambush sites. Hint: Your magical weapons don't last long, so save them for creatures that either can't be hurt by ordinary weapons or that take too long to kill. Hint: Spells are best used against creatures that are mega tough (such as pit fiends) or against range strikers that are otherwise difficult to get your hands on (such as demon witches and knife-throwing imps).
