Nick Faldo's Championship Golf cheats / Nick Faldo's Championship Golf hints / Nick Faldo's Championship Golf faqs / Nick Faldo's Championship Golf solutions Nick Faldo's Championship Golf hints Quick Docs: This game can be easily played with a mouse. The hardest part of it is figuring out how to hit the ball. Let me start by showing you a representation of the "bar". 1 2 ----[-]----[-------]---- ¦¦¦¦¦ This "bar" shows up just after you've set up your shot and takes the longest time to get use to. Let me explain how the bar works. The ¦¦¦¦¦ represents a bar that grows from left to right. This bar gauges how you hit the ball. If you hit the left mouse button in the 1 region, a "W" will show up on the screen. I think this stands for Wedge and will hit the ball flat instead of with an arc. This is useful for getting out of a pile of trees. The 2 region represents how you hit the ball. If you click twice in this region, the ball with be hit straight. If you click once to the left of region 2 and once inside region 2, the ball will hook. Likewise, if you click once in region 2 and once to the right of region 2, the ball will slice. This is much harder to explain than to actually do. Hopefully, the following chart will explain things a bit clearer. 1 2 ----[-]----[-------]---- ¦¦¦¦¦C¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦CC¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ Wedge and hit straight ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦CC¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ Hit straight ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦C¦¦¦¦C¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ Hook ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦C¦¦¦¦¦¦C¦ Slice Most times you will only need to click twice, but make sure it passes region 1 or else you'll get the wedge. Compared to the above, the rest of the game is easy to understand. After you start a round of golf or enter the training, you'll get a view screen showing your golfer and the surrounding area. If you move the mouse to the left side, the screen will scroll. This shows this different clubs you have and allows you to pick one. Also, there is a SAVE icon for saving your game. If on the main view screen you move the mouse to the right, you'll get a view of the hole. If you hit the WIND icon and then the map, you'll get arrows that represent the current on different parts of the course. Lastly, if you hit the topmost icon (forgot what it's called), it'll show you how the ball lies. I haven't figured out why this really matters, but I guess if you're into golf this might make a difference. That's basically all there is to the game. I'm sure you'll have no problem getting use to hitting the ball. Other Nick Faldo's Championship Golf cheats hints faqs solutions: |
