It's a full-time job just dodging alien fire, without the added complication of maneuvering for crystals. Hint: For the first couple of missions, buy a credit drone. It'll zoom off and collect credit crystals, and do a better job, without risk to your ship. Hint: Go into the setup menu, choose configuration and then game options, and set the shrapnel detail to low. This will reduce the amount of debris flying around on your screen, making it easier to see what's going on. Also, performance goes up noticeably, especially on non-Pentium computers.
