Wetrix cheats / Wetrix hints / Wetrix faqs / Wetrix solutions Wetrix hints Doc's Game Strategy Wetrix for PC by the Game Doc. For any of you who have played the N64 version of Wetrix, know what an addicting and highly combustible game it actually is. From falling firebombs to landmines, Wetrix PC will keep your brain humming. THE GAME The premise is to build a landscape with random pieces (called "Uppers") that fall until you have a contained area. Next water will fall, hopefully into your now contained area. From here on out; random water, uppers, fire bombs, ice cubes, land mines and others will rain down on your poor landscape, causing floods, earthquakes and all-around mental meltdown. THE PIECES In order to survive, you will have to understand the many pieces and their uses. Some will hinder you, but you can turn this around and make them help you. It's all about knowing when to hold 'em and knowing when to fold 'em. 1. Uppers: This is the single most important piece in the game. You need these to complete your landscape and build your perimeter so you can handle the onslaught of water that is soon to follow. On the left side of the screen you will see an Earthquake Meter. Every time you put an Upper into the playfield, your Earthquake meter will increase until your landscape is destroyed and everything you've built will go down the tubes, BUT you can use this to your advantage. 2. Downers: downers are used to erase a section of uppers, frozen water or make a hole bigger. Using downers will decrease your earthquake meter and keep the earthquakes in check. Use them wisely. 3. Fire Bombs: when your water level is getting a little to much, send down a fire bomb to evaporate the water and give yourself a little more breathing room. Firebombs can also be used to destroy dry land and decrease your earthquake meter. 4. Ice Cubes: These little baddies are computer-controlled and fall without warning. If you have water in your area, the ice cubes will target a section of water and freeze it. If you fire bomb a frozen patch of water, the frozen patch will evaporate back into water. Water that is dropped on a frozen patch will freeze, so keep it contained and deal with it at your pace and not the computer's. 5. Rainbows: When you have enough water in your playfield, a rainbow will appear and multiply any points you accumulate. You get points for evaporating water, erasing landscape, and points for how many lakes you have. To make lakes, you will need to place uppers in the middle of the playfield and section of the water. The more lakes you have, the higher your score will be. 6. Rubber Duckies: If you place two square uppers on top of each other, then place water into this area, a duckie will appear. For every duckie you have, your score will be multiplied by two. THE STRATEGY First of all, complete the training first. This will get you familiar with the different peices and how to deal with problems caused by fire, water, bombs and mines. After you have completed the training, try the different modes, but leave Classic for last. When you feel ready, go to Classic. In Classic you need to place the Uppers around the perimeter in a square. Next contain the water that follows. Now try and place the square Uppers in the water until you have a Rubber Duckie. Repeat this step until you have three or four duckies. Place remaining Uppers around your perimeter to build it up. Use Downers to erase some excess Uppers and frozen patches. When Bombs start to fall, you need to place them around the edges of your playfield. Once the Bombs hit, you will need to repair any damage they caused with Uppers. Keep up this strategy throughout the ten levels and you will be a master. Other Wetrix cheats hints faqs solutions: |
