You will notice that a few servers have an right arrow in front of their name, these are the rooms that support an additional chat feature. When in one 190 of these rooms, press square. You will notice a list of chat options on screen, simply choose a sequence of text using the corresponding triangle, circle, x, and square buttons. When finished, the selected text should be both said and displayed on-screen. It's still no voice-chat, but it is an improvement. At least now you can organize with your team a little more. (Warning: e94 the chat text screen freezes your character just like the option screen does, this means while inputting text you are defenseless against attacks.)
