Play up to stage 8 without losing a single round and beat each character as quick as possible. On your eight character, "Here comes a new challenger", sign will appear. You'll have to fight Dan,but Akuma will come and beat him up.Now you'll have to fight Akuma. (Note:You will still have to fight the eight character you need to, but this is like a bonus.)
